Grand Potager, an urban agriculture centre in Verdun’s municipal greenhouses, is a vector for developing positive social, environmental and economic relationships that:
- links innovative food security and gardening projects under the same roof, thereby encouraging communication between organizations, but also between organizations, citizens and the borough;
- providing support and resources to community groups already active in the borough;
- launching new dynamic projects in vegetable gardening and food security for the Verdun community; and
- developing the local economy.
Thus, Grand Potager has a direct positive impact on the food security of Verdun residents and will improve the resilience of the community as a whole.
