The Urban Abundance Solidarity Coop CAUS creates community abundance via healthy and local food, education and social activities.
Our projects include the Verdun Farmer Markets, an aquaponics setup, workshops, year-round vegetable production, a cooperative buying centre and a compost project.

In the coming year, we have the following markets, training and workshops.
Verdun Farmer Markets
We have three markets:
- The waterfront farmer takes place Sundays between 1 and 5 p.m. from July 1 until September 30 in the green space on the Verdun waterfront between 4th and 5th avenues just east of the Crescendo Restaurant.
- The Library farmer market takes place Wednsdays from 3 until 7 p.m. in the green space in front of Verdun’s Culture Centre, 5955 rue Bannantyne from July 4th until October 3.
- The Borough Hall farmer market takes place Fridays between 3 and 7 p.m. from July 6 until September 28 in du Souvenir Park in front of Borough Hall and next to the Verdun Metro.
The autumn farmer markets
The autumn farmer markets take place Wednesdays from 3 until 7 p.m. from July 4 until October 3 at Grand Potager in the Verdun municipal greenhouses, 7000 boul. LaSalle.
Our practical aquaponics training sessions take place on the third Thursday of every month between 5 and 9 p.m. at Grand Potager in the Verdun greenhouses, 7000 boul. LaSalle.
Food heritage workshops in English take place every second Thursday, except December from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Grand Potager in the Verdun greenhouses, 7000 boul. LaSalle.
The Big Christmas Market
Our big Christmas market takes place on November 24 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 4322 rue Wellington.
